You will want to look for durable outdoor contruction that won't melt or burn. The container should have a smaller opening such as a keyhole opening so people will not think this is a trash can. Look at models that encourage cigarettes to extinguish quickly.

By putting posts outside of your entrance and exit's you will discourage people from coming into your building with a cigerette in hand. You can discourage cigarette litter along your walkways and flower beds by providing containers for the public.
